Using workflows to progress your finance application

When you start a new mortgage or bridging loan application, a dedicated workflow will be automatically created, so you can discuss the application with your preferred broker / lender.

You can also loop relevant team members into the conversation, so they can also help to progress the application.

In order to start the conversation and progress the application, you should click on the Workflow box.

This will take you to the workflow page, where you have a number of options.

Firstly, you can see the current status of the application. Whenever the broker / lender updates the status of the application, you will be notified via email and also within the Stacked app (see the notification bell in the top right hand corner of every page).

Next you will see the members who have been invited to the workflow. If you click on the member icons, you will be able to invite more people to join the workflow.

The idea with workflows, is to invite only those members, who need to be involved with the conversation. In this way, everything stays nicely organised and focussed.

In much the same way that you can invite different members to the workflow, you can also update who it is assigned to.

The idea here, is to always have a clear idea of who is responsible for taking the next step, to move the application forwards.

For example, when you first create the application, it makes sense to assign the workflow to your broker / lender, as the ball is currently in their court, to give things an initial review and raise any clarifying questions.

Once they have reviewed things, they may assign the workflow back to you, so you can answer any questions they have raised and perhaps review some illustrations.

Whenever someone is assigned to a workflow, they will be notified via email and within the Stacked app.

If you want to, you can also specify a due date for the workflow, so that you are notified via email and within the Stacked app, when you reach that date.

This can help you to stay on top of things and send follow up messages, if needed.

And finally, you can add comments to the workflow, in order to discuss and progress the application.

When you tag people, just like on social media, they will be notified via email and also within the Stacked app.
